Nemu seseorang yang mengartikan maksud dari lagu ini dengan bagus, walaupun sebenernya lagu ini emang dibuat untuk sesuai dengan filmnya sih, tapi seseorang ini ngartiinnya bagus juga


The general meaning of the song, to me, is about facing death and the end with courage and love for one another in our hearts. He sings again and again about seeing fire coming to destroy them, and yet calls for everyone to be together one last time, watching as the "flames burn auburn," seemingly unafraid of death and even describing the end as beautiful, paying a tribute to the beauty of life.

Before fire consumes everything, he calls for someone to watch over his brothers and sons, as if, despite accepting death with courage, to not wish the same fate on those he loves - keeping in mind that if they should meet that same fate, that they should be together and unafraid.

As the dwarves went on their adventure with Bilbo, they faced deathly risk again and again, yet never lost their warmth and souls. This song inspired me to not be afraid of death, and make me look at humanity and our history and learn to love us and the better part of how we've evolved overtime. -Chris J
